THE TRUE STORY OF 32 IRISH HEROES

The idea for BRAN began during a walk with my Border Collie at Bunker Valentin in Bremen, now a memorial site. 
A plaque com-memorating an Irish prisoner caught my attention. How had a man from neutral Ireland ended up in forced labour in Nazi Germany?
Our research led us to the story of 32 Irishmen held in Bremen and to an archival photograph of prisoners, one of them holding a dog. That image stayed with me. It opened the door to a film about friendship, endurance and the extraordinary connection between people and animals in times of war. 

The story grew from that discovery: a cinematic survival adventure that brings an overlooked chapter of wartime history to a global audience.
